Senior Anchorman for Lifestyle Magazine, Dan served as executive director for the Faith For Today ministry for 19 years, until his retirement on September 1, 1999. Today he continues to represent Faith For Today as Speaker Emeritus while still occasionally hosting the organization’s flagship program, Lifestyle Magazine, which is available to over 92 million households throughout the US, Canada, and over 140 countries around the world. 
 
Before coming to Faith For Today, Matthews served as pastor and public relations administrator in the Pacific Northwest, as well as in Virginia and Washington, D. C. He holds a Master of Arts degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Dan and his wife Betsy have three sons and reside in Gledora, California. Matthews has been named president of HisKids, Incorporated, headquartered in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. HisKids, Inc. is a ministry that targets the children’s market with quality alternative entertainment.
